Following the success of the 1st edition organised in Casablanca, THE NEXT SOCIETY organised a second meeting in Tunis, gathering more than 130 EU and MENA innovators including clusters, researchers, SMEs, industry experts and policy makers.

The event, offered to clusters in the MENA region as part of the Cluster Booster Track, the tailor-made support programme for cluster managers supported by THE NEXT SOCIETY, aimed to promote cooperation and networking between cluster managers from both sides of the Mediterranean in order to explore potential synergies that can lead to business partnerships between the various organizations.

Over 300 bilateral meetings were organised during the day.

This edition of the #Techdays also allowed the first meeting in person of 7 couples mentors/ mentees participating to the cluster mentoring programme of the Cluster booster Track, which is coordinated by France Clusters. The cluster mentoring programme allows MENA cluster managers to deepen cluster management issues with an experienced peer from Europe in a win-win approach.

The #Techdays in Tunis were also the occasion to launch the Tech Booster in Tunisia, an acceleration programme which targets “researchers-entrepreneurs” : researchers, engineers or innovators having developed a project thanks to their research studies or their scientific skills and willing to commercialise it or turn it into a business.

On Thursday, January 30, THE NEXT SOCIETY delegation took part to the 2nd Forum of Tunisian Technoparks, devoted, among other things, to strengthening collaboration between Tunisian innovation actors (SMEs, researchers and clusters) and European / Mediterranean clusters, in the framework of R&I funding programs at European level (focus on H2020).

The #Techdays were organized by THE NEXT SOCIETY’s partner in Tunisia, The Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII) and Anima Investment Network, the project coordinator, with the support of France Clusters, risingSUD, ACCIO, AWEX and CEIpiemonte and in partnership with the Tunisia Technoparks Association
